TIMOTHY C. NIES is a premises liability and general liability defense litigator.
He also provides support to the firm’s medical and dental malpractice defense
practice areas. Mr. Nies received his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University and
his undergraduate degree from Florida Atlantic University. He is admitted to the
Florida Bar and also admitted to the United States District Court for the
Northern and Middle Districts of Florida. Mr. Nies is a member of the Defense
Research Institute, the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, American Bar
Association, and the Broward County Bar Association. He was recently appointed
by the Florida Bar to its Military Affairs Committee. Tim has also lectured on a
variety of topics, including slips, trips and falls and Florida’s Good Samaritan
Law.
Prior to embarking upon his legal career, Mr. Nies served as team leader in the
United States Army’s Airborne Rangers at the Third Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger
Regiment in Fort Benning, Georgia. There, he not only honed valuable leadership
and team-building skills, but also, learned and trained others to react quickly
under pressure and time constraints.
