DAWN MARSHALL received her J.D. degree from the University of Miami in 1986.  Her B.A. degree was earned in 1980 from Indiana University with a Major in Spanish.  Ms. Marshall completed two foreign study programs while at Indiana University.  She is admitted to the Florida Bar, and has been a member of the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida, since 1990.  Ms Marshall possesses a varied and diverse litigation background, having practiced in toxic tort and general liability defense, commercial litigation and family law.   Prior to joining the firm, she worked extensively in asbestos-defense litigation.  Ms. Marshall's general liability experience has included construction defects, professional liability issues and personal injury matters.  She has appeared in virtually every state court venue in Florida.

 

Ms. Marshall has also served as an adjunct instructor at Florida International University, teaching in the Legal Studies Program for more than 10 years.  She regularly taught courses in Civil Litigation and lectured on topics, such as Toxic Torts and Collections Practices.  Ms. Marshall also served on the University's Advisory Council for that same Program.  She has also written published articles on both civil and real estate litigation.   Ms. Marshall is a member of the Dade County Bar Association, the Florida Defense Lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute.  She is also conversant in Spanish.
