BIOGRAPHY

 

JAMES P. O’HARA is an Associate resident in the Firm’s Fort Lauderdale office. His industry expertise includes complex litigation involving the defense of medical malpractice, wrongful death, civil rights, and personal injury cases, as well as premises and general liability matters. Mr. O’Hara completed his legal education at Nova Southeastern University in 2003. He was admitted to the Florida Bar that same year, and has been involved in private practice ever since, having participated in numerous trials. Mr. O’Hara was admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida in 2005.

Mr. O’Hara’s prior employment history is equally impressive. He distinguished himself as a Detective in the City of Plantation Police Department for almost 10 years. There, he handled all aspects of investigation from inception through trial. Md. O’Hara earned numerous and prestigious honors and awards. Among his achievements were recognition by the National Association of Police Officers as “Top Cop” of 1995. He also received the Medal of Honor, Medal of Valor and Purple Heart during his career.
